We did a quick overnight in Carmel en as we headed down toward LA. I'd never been so I was really excited! Plus we had PERFECT weather...high 70s! We got a fabulous rate at a hotel right in town since it's off season...we are finding this is such a great time to travel especially since the weather is agreeing with us too pretty much everywhere! We had fun wandering around Carmel and walking down to the beach. We had an amazing lunch at an oyster bar AND a delicious dinner at an Italian restaurant downtown. Thank goodness for all of the walking that we did exploring town! We can't wait to come back to Carmel when we have more time...

We spent the next morning checking out Pacific Grove...it's a gorgeous beach and cute little coastal town kind of in between Monterrey and Carmel. We picked up some lunch and had a picnic down at the water!
