CRANBROOK TO BANFF!

The drive from Cranbrook to Banff through Kootenay National Park and a little bit of Banff National Park was breathtaking and beautiful. We could not stop oohing and ahhing! The fall leaves are just starting to turn which made for even more gorgeous scenery. We arrived in Banff around 6pm and found a great hotel to stay at right in the main downtown area and even better there is ample street parking behind the hotel for our rig! It's a little chilly, 50s and 60s but sunny and beautiful. We just enjoyed a nice complimentary continental breakfast and are excited to spend the day exploring Banff!

CRANBROOK, BC ... CANADA!!!

We arrived in Cranbrook on Tuesday night after a 3 hour-ish drive from CDA. We stayed at a really cute little place called the Elizabeth Lake Lodge- it's right on a bird sanctuary and has beautiful walking trails but unfortunately we had to hit the road the next morning so didn't have time to take advantage of it. The lodge was newly built and the rooms were sparkling clean and big, with full kitchens! Had we known we would have taken advantage to cook! The owners were so nice and helpful and we had a great overnight there. The whole lodge is painted with animals and nature scenes and it was really pretty. We had some sushi take-out in the room for dinner and planned our next day drive to Banff. Pretty uneventful but productive!

On the road again after 12 days in CDA!

HAYDEN LAKE, IDAHO

Before leaving CDA we stopped at Hayden Lake which is on the way out of town in the town of Hayden. We did a sunset jet ski ride & it was so beautiful. It could not have been a better way to end our amazing 12 days in Idaho!

COEUR D'ALENE CONT...

We are really loving CDA so we decided to extend our time here! After 6 nights at the beautiful CDA resort we found a really cute little VRBO cottage to stay a few more days. It's 1/2 a block from the water on a part of the lake called Sanders Beach. It has everything we need to be comfortable to cook and we love it! It's just a few blocks from downtown (where the resort is) and it's a great walking and bike riding neighborhood. The sunsets are beautiful and best of all it has ample street parking for our big rig! LOL!

Afternoon jet ski at Riverstone Park

Our last few days & sunsets at the CDA resort

Our cute little cottage that we rented for 3 nights! Looks are deceiving...it sleeps 12!

Yay for a home cooked dinner!!! Night 1- Salmon, brown rice quinoa mix, and roasted veggies!

Night 2- Lemon pepper marinated chicken, garlic kale, and roasted red potatoes!

Bike ride along the lake- CDA has amazing bike paths!

Morning walk from the cottage to the resort & along the floating boardwalk

Some wildlife in the Sanders Beach neighborhood!
